I haven’t posted in a while because we have been SUPER busy with our various projects! So here’s an update for you…

This year we have been improvising, devising and rehearsing our new play InAccessibleCon in our continuing workshops with Ruils! The play is a comedy about a visually impaired person trying to travel to ComicCon in New York and the difficulties he encounters, with plenty of superheroes and cartoon characters thrown in for good measure! We have now performed InAccessibleCon twice - once in May for a group of Japanese people who work for Disability organisations across Japan. Our second performance was in June at a MenCap event for Learning Disability Awareness Week. Audiences have been vast, enthusiastic and engaged. Our next performance will be for young people at a local youth club in July and we have plans to perform InAccessibleCon throughout the year.

We have been running workshops with a group of Disabled People who are going to be starting and running a new DPO with Lewisham Council. The workshops take place in Catford and we are making a piece of Lived Experience Theatre based on their true experiences together.

As well as continuing our workshops with Ruils, we will be running workshops with Ham Youth Club in August and hope to pick up work on a play about Housing with Action on Disability later in the year.
